The Number One “Tabletalk” Role Playing Game in Japan

I have posted about Chaosium’s Call of Cthulhu tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) before on my blog. While I have only dipped my toes into the game, I have been impressed with what I have experienced to date and I can understand why the game is so popular. It is really popular in Japan, particularly with women.
Below is an interesting video from the Weird Place YouTube channel on the game’s place and history in Japan. I found it interesting that the games are referred to as “tabletalk” games. But that is admittedly also an accurate term, as much of playing a TTRPG involves talking amongst the players.
